Roald Dahl

Roald Dahl was a very famous writer. He wrote many stories, such as BFG, Matilda, Going Solo, The Witches, Danny and the Giant Peach, etc. His works were at the library of Tunas Muda School where I work now or may be not longer. I decided to read his works because from the very first book I read, which is BFG (Big Friendly Giant), I became interested in reading all of his books. The first book of him I read was BFG. The story was very interesting. I loved reading it. I read the story on April. I remember that it took less than 3 weeks to read the book because the book was very interesting and I couldn't stop reading it. The story is about a little girl who meets a Big Friendly Giant (BFG). In the story BFG and the girl named Sofie goes to BFG castle and BFG tells her everything about what he does in the night. Then, the story continues to the mission to help the children of England by telling Queen of England and reminds her that there will be a bad giant who wants to eat the ch...

MUSASHI

This is the novel written by Eiji Yoshikawa. The novel tells the story about a samurai named Sinmei Takezo (Miyamoto Musashi) and about the way of sword. This is an epic story I ever read. It does not only tell about the life of a samurai, but there are also romanticism (Otsu and Musashi),  the loyalty of a mother (Osugi, who loves his son very much), and the political situation in that Era. This novel appeared in 1985. In that year, the novel was divided into 7 books but now, the novels are bounded into one thick novel that cannot be brought anywhere (T_T). I like the old version more because I can bring them everywhere. Actually, I borrowed the novels from the library (Sanata Dharma Library). There are many books in that library including the English translated novels/books. One of English translated novels that I read from that library was "I am a cat" (Japanese novel too). But I couldn't finish it yet (LOL). I also read "Botchan" (the Indonesia version),...

Holiday in Korea

Between 9-10 January 2014, I have my first experience to Korea... It might be God's present to me because I went to Korea after I finished my thesis defence. hohoho... I would like to share my experience in Korea. Hopefully you can find something to learn. I also would like to thank my family and my friends for their supports. Arigatou gonzaimasu.. ^^ I started my trip from Yogyakarta. There were four people: me, two of my friends, and a lecturer. We flew with Lion Air at 4 p.m., so we went to the Adi Sucipto airport first at 3 p.m. I didn't bring a big suitcase, I only brought the small one. T_T. "It didn't matter. It's only seven day trip." I thought. The flight delayed and we had to wait for one hour. While waiting for it, we took some pictures. hehe.. After one hour waiting, we flew to Jakarta at 5 p.m. Wuuussshh....
